Leigh Winton has over 20 years’ experience within Financial markets within the asset classes of Fixed Income, Foreign-Exchange, Derivatives and Commodities, predominantly within JPM, RBS, CBA & HSBC (Midland). Leigh has a mix of Structuring, Product and Sales backgrounds, with his highest educational qualification being a Master of Business (in Finance) from UTS. Whilst at CBA, Leigh was the co-Head of an investor products business which originated and distributed Fixed Income products within the CBA channels of Middle-market Institutions, CBA Private Bank and CommSec.
Leigh has regularly been a guest lecturer facilitating workshops in financial markets. Explaining products in simplistic terms have been a key part of his roles to date.
Kieran has in excess of 30 years experience in senior roles in the fixed income market, primarily as a fund manager in charge of investing multiple billions of dollars across a wide range of investment mandates. His experience includes roles as a proprietary interest rate trader, debt originator, syndicator and institutional debt sales, with his expertise in the unrated market likely unsurpassed.
He has been with FIIG securities for 7 years and is the Head of the Managed Income Portfolio Service.
Mark is a senior credit and fixed income specialist with 20 years of experience in global financial markets. He is a highly knowledgeable strategist covering global and domestic financial markets from a credit intensive perspective. Mark’s most recent role was at Aquasia, where he analysed single name corporate credits and provided a macro strategy overview for the Credit Fund. Prior to Aquasia, Mark was Director, Credit & Structuring at ABN AMRO, where he covered global and domestic credit markets from a strategy/research, trading desk and sales perspective.
Prior to joining ABN AMRO, Mark spent nearly seven years at JPMorgan in London. Mark has won several awards that recognise his research. These include various Insto Magazine, CFO Magazine, Credit Magazine and Institutional Investor. Mark is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. He holds a Diploma in Management Studies from the Judge Business School, Cambridge, and a MA Honours Degree in Economics from Downing College, Cambridge University.
Elizabeth is considered an expert in the fixed income asset class and is a regular contributor to The Australian. She frequently writes for and is quoted in other press.
Elizabeth has been with FIIG for nine years and for much of that time has been a corporate and bank analyst. In recent years her passion for education has seen her role shift, to author/edit FIIG’s “The Australian Guide to Fixed Income” and an online fixed income course for Financial Advisors. She continues to edit FIIG’s weekly newsletter, “The WIRE”.
In her role as Director of Education, Elizabeth has delivered presentations at conferences across Australia including Morningstar, Eureka Report, The Australian Shareholders Association and the ASX.
Jon has been working in investment markets for over 15 years, in both London and Sydney. A Chartered Accountant, Jon began his career servicing mid-market corporates in the UK with PwC, before moving into Investment Banking roles with UBS, Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse, in both Institutional Equities and Fixed Income businesses.
In 2011 Jon took his passion for investing into giving advice directly to clients, as a Private Banker with Credit Suisse, before joining FIIG in 2013 to specialise in the Fixed Income asset class.
Jon is an active advocate for FIIG in the wider world, presenting often on Sky News Business and around NSW/ACT to clients and Industry groups. Jon became the State Manager for Private Clients in July 2016.
Mark has over 20 years experience including legal, financial services, professional sport, rugby commentary/public speaking, charity work and Board directorships. Following completion of his law degree at QUT, Mark practiced as a lawyer in Brisbane for 12 years and later combined this with a professional rugby union sporting career representing both the Queensland Reds and the Wallabies.
Throughout his career and since retiring from professional rugby Mark has performed numerous speaking engagements and has also held a part-time rugby commentary role with 4TAB Radio. Mark is a current Non-Executive Director of the Queensland Rugby Union and previously served on the Board of the Australia Rugby Union from 2007 to 2012.
Mark has held leadership roles in all of his endeavours and has worked in the Financial Services Industry with Wilson HTM over the preceding 10 years before joining FIIG in mid-2016 as its Queensland State Manager.
Darryl has almost 20 years’ experience working in the financial services sector across Australia, UK and New Zealand. Prior to joining FIIG in early 2014 Darryl worked as a corporate bond fund manager for a 200+ year old private bank in the UK for 8 years. This included the tumultuous period before, during and after the GFC.
After working at FIIG as a private client dealer for almost two years Darryl was appointed head of FIIG’s business in Western Australia in late 2015.
Twenty years experience both on and offshore in the private banking and financial services sector, have shaped George into the seasoned senior professional of today - focused on optimizing client engagement.
Having acquired senior roles in private banking and working from various global jurisdictions, has provided George with a truly global perspective on investment strategies and fiduciary structuring enabling his clientele to gain exposure to very bespoke expertise. George joined the team at FIIG in July 2015 as State Manager – Director.
