In times of general market volatility, especially post GFC, fixed income has come to the fore with investors more focused on capital preservation rather than capital growth. Of the three major asset classes (fixed income, equity and property), fixed income can best provide such protection. Investors have started to ask their financial planners about fixed income investments. As such, it is important to have a good understanding of the asset class.
FIIG’s Professional Fixed Income Course has been designed to bring clients and financial planners up to date with the current products and developments in Australian fixed income markets as well as to provide a solid review of the dynamics of the instruments.
The course covers 13 sessions which you can work through in the sequence presented (which is recommended) or choose individual topics for study or review.
Once you’ve successfully completed the 13 sessions, you are then able to sit an online exam consisting of 50 multiple choice questions. You’ll need to answer 80% of the exam questions correctly to pass. Completing the course and passing the exam will earn you 5.5 CPD points as a member of the FPA.
The course fee is $295 including GST.
