Jim Stening – Managing Director
Jim is the Group Managing Director and the founder of FIIG Securities Limited as well as the co-founder of The Driven Group. Jim is responsible for the overall operations of FIIG's businesses and investments. Jim has extensive knowledge of fixed income, cash and derivative markets fostered by more than 25 years experience in financial markets, interest rate product development and international fixed income trading, including, prior to founding FIIG Securities in 1998, in senior roles at a major Australian bank in Melbourne and in the branch offices of foreign based investment banks in Singapore and Sydney.
Jim founded FIIG in 1998, recognising that a broad range of investors could not access a proper rate of return in fixed income markets which favoured institutional investors. As Managing Director, Jim is responsible for all facets of the businesses including product development, business strategy and overall analysis of trade data and the marketplace. Jim has worked with some of the world's best known financial institutions including Merrill Lynch, Banco Santander (Singapore) and National Australia Bank.
Jim is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Diploma of Financial Services.
Douglas Bates – Executive Chairman
Douglas has been Chairman of FIIG since November 2000 and Executive Chairman since July 2009. Douglas is a Barrister and has over 24 years experience as a legal practitioner in London, Hong Kong and Brisbane.
Douglas has a Bachelor of Laws, a Master of Laws and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Jon Lechte – Executive Director
Jon has over 25 years' experience in financial markets, most recently with UBS Investment Bank in the capacity of Head of Fixed Income, Asia (based in Hong Kong). He was with UBS for 13 years and was appointed to the Investment Bank Global Board in 2005 and joined the Board of FIIG in June 2008.
Jon holds a Graduate Diploma of Banking and Finance from Monash University in Melbourne, Victoria.
Bill Keogh – Managing Director – Short Term Money Markets
Bill has been a director of FIIG since January 2005 and executive director since February 2009. He has over 23 years experience in the financial services industry, most recently as Marketing and Client Service Director with Tactical Global Management Ltd.
Bill has a Bachelor of Business, Master of Applied Finance and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
